Starting today, Day.ai will notify you about new Actions directly in Slack, and remind you when it's time to follow up.
Why we built it
We're bringing Actions to where you already work. We know that having to switch contexts to track follow-ups causes important items to slip through the cracks, so we've designed notifications that fit naturally into your workflow.
At the same time, we know that following up often requires crafting thoughtful messages – a process that's both time-consuming and mentally draining. That's why we've built powerful drafting capabilities directly into our Action notifications. Day.ai compiles all the relevant context from your conversations and helps you respond quickly and effectively.
What's new
“New Action” Notification
When Day.ai detects a commitment or follow-up from your meetings, emails, or Slack Connect conversations, you'll now receive a notification directly in Slack. Each notification includes the full description of the Action, so you immediately understand what needs to be done without having to search for information.
Day.ai monitors to determine when you've completed an Action too – once you've followed through, it automatically marks the Action as complete so you can spend less time managing your to-do list, and more time focused on growth.
"Remind me"
Day.ai suggests when you should be reminded about an Action. For instance, if you mention following up "next week" or "by the end of the month," Day.ai will set an appropriate reminder date.
You can easily adjust the date if needed, and on the specified day, you'll receive a reminder in Slack if the Action hasn't been completed yet. No more letting important follow-ups slip through the cracks.
Draft follow ups directly from Slack
When you receive an Action notification, you can generate a draft right from Slack. Day.ai automatically gathers all the relevant context – including previous meeting recordings and email threads – and uses it to suggest a draft prompt.
Create a draft by hitting enter, or refine the prompt to get exactly the output you’re looking for. This eliminates the need to hunt for information across multiple platforms, saving you valuable time and mental energy when crafting follow-ups, summaries, or docs.
