Integrations & Connectors
This guide covers everything you can connect to Day AI, what each connection does, and how to troubleshoot when something isn't syncing. Your agent has all this knowledge as well, if you have follow up questions, try asking!
Integrations vs. connectors
Integrations run in the background and continuously sync data into your workspace — emails, Slack messages, meeting recordings, and calendar events all flow in automatically once connected.
- Gmail (per user): emails, thread summaries, contact extraction
- Google Calendar (per user): calendar events, attendees
- Slack (workspace): messages, channels, user directory
- Gong (workspace): meeting recordings, transcripts, participants
- Granola (workspace): meeting notes
- Zapier (workspace): people and organization records
Connectors (via MCP) are different. They don't sync data — they give your agents the ability to call tools in other apps during a conversation. Ask your agent to create a Linear issue or search a Notion page, and it uses the connector to do it in real time.
- Linear: create and manage issues
- Notion: search and manage pages and databases
- HubSpot: access CRM objects, engagements, and pipelines
- Affinity:
Integrations
Gmail & Google Calendar
Gmail and Google Calendar are per-user — each person on your team connects their own Google account. Day AI can't access someone's email or calendar until they've connected it themselves.
What syncs:
- Emails and thread summaries
- Senders and recipients, automatically added as contacts
- Calendar events and attendees
To connect:
- In the top left, click your workpsace name, to Settings → Integrations → Google
- Click Connect Google Account
- Sign in and approve the requested scopes
Email sharing rules let you control what gets synced. You can exclude specific email addresses or entire domains — useful for filtering out vendors, personal accounts, or internal-only threads. Go to Settings → Email Sharing Rules to configure. Ask your agent or learn more here.
Slack
Slack is a workspace-level integration — one admin connects it for the whole workspace, and all members get access to the synced data.
What syncs:
- Messages from connected channels
- Slack users
Connect your Slack workspace
- In the top left, click your workspace name, go to Settings → Integrations → Slack
- Click Connect Slack
- Authorize Day AI in your Slack workspace
Only users with admin permissions can connect or disconnect Slack. Only one Slack workspace can be connected per Day AI workspace.
Add Day AI to channels
Connecting Slack doesn't automatically sync every channel — you choose which ones Day AI monitors.
For public channels: go to Settings → Integrations → Slack and add channels directly from the channel list.
For private channels: open the channel in Slack and type /addapp, select Day AI from the list. Private channels can't be added from the settings UI.
Day AI only syncs messages from channels it's been added to. If you're not seeing data from a channel, check that Day AI is a member.
Gong
Gong is a workspace-level integration that brings meeting recordings and transcripts into Day AI automatically. Once connected, call recordings sync on an ongoing basis — participants are extracted as contacts and linked to organizations and opportunities.
To connect:
- In the top left, click your Workspace name, go to Settings → Integrations → Gong
- Click Connect Gong
- Authorize Day AI via Gong's OAuth screen
Gong syncs recordings incrementally using a watermark, so it picks up where it left off. You don't need to do anything after the initial connection.
Granola
Granola is a workspace-level and connects via an Enterprise API key, rather than OAuth.
To connect:
- In the top left, click your Workspace name, go to Workspace Settings → Integrations → Granola
- Enter your Granola Enterprise API key
- Save — the initial sync will start automatically
Meeting notes sync into Day AI and are converted into the same format as other meeting recordings, so they work consistently across your workspace.
Zapier
The Zapier integration lets you push data into Day AI from other tools — useful for syncing records from apps that don't have a native integration.
What's supported:
- Upsert a record
- Create or update a Person (requires email) or Organization (requires domain) from any Zapier-connected app.
You can pass freeform text describing the record and Day AI will parse and map it to the right fields. There are no outbound triggers from Day AI to Zapier at this time.
Connectors
Connectors are per-user and give your agents the ability to take action in external tools during a conversation. Each person on your team connects their own account.
To set up a connector:
- In the bottom left click your name, click on Connectors
- Click Connect next to the connector you want
- Authorize via OAuth
Once connected, your agent can use those tools automatically when relevant — or you can ask it directly ("create a Linear issue for this," "find the Notion doc about onboarding").
You can enable or disable individual tools within a connector, or set specific tools to always-allow so your agent doesn't ask for confirmation each time.
Troubleshooting
Emails aren't showing up in my workspace.
Make sure you've connected your Google account under Settings → Integrations → Google. If it's connected, check your email sharing rules — a domain or address exclusion may be filtering out the threads you're looking for.
Slack messages aren't syncing.
Confirm that the Slack integration is connected under Settings → Integrations → Slack. If it's connected, check that the channels you expect are included — not all channels are synced by default.
Gong recordings aren't appearing.
Check that the integration is connected under Settings → Integrations → Gong. Gong syncs incrementally, so there may be a short delay after connection before recordings appear. If recordings are missing after a day, disconnect and reconnect to trigger a fresh sync.
My connector stopped working.
Connector tokens expire. Go to Settings → Connectors, disconnect the affected connector, and reconnect. If it keeps failing, the error message in the connector settings will usually tell you what went wrong.
Zapier isn't creating records.
Make sure you're passing a valid email (for persons) or domain (for organizations) as the object ID — those are required. If the record still isn't appearing, check the Zap history in Zapier for the error returned from Day AI.
A calendar event is missing from my workspace.
Google Calendar uses push notifications to sync events in real time. If an event is missing, it may not have been shared with Day AI yet — check your Google sharing settings, or try making a small edit to the event to trigger a re-sync.
